Dr. Tuan is a cardiothoracic surgeon. Bill “The Flavor Guy” is a heart attack survivor. On a chance encounter, the two met on a fishing boat. The rest is history.
Following their fishing trip, Dr. Tuan and Bill became friends and decided to collaborate on ways to raise awareness about heart disease.
Despite Dr. Tuan’s operating schedule and Bill’s role as CEO of Nature’s Flavors, they set aside time to study and became matcha tea connoisseurs. They created a healthy and tasty matcha green tea drink loaded with antioxidants. As ministers of matcha, they made it their mission to spread the word about the health benefits of matcha green tea.
Matcha is the finely ground powder of the dried tea leaves from the plant Camellia sinesis. The leaves undergo a specialized process of steaming, drying, and separation before they are ground in hand crafted granite stone grinders into micron-sized matcha powder.
Culinary grade is of lower quality and is suitable for cooking, baking and confectionery. Ceremonial grade is of higher quality and is used in traditional Japanese tea ceremony. We use only the highest grade of ceremonial matcha in its organic form. Say no more about bitterness.
